Flying a Kite…

My computer is ‘Kaput’ or in layman’s terms has 512Mb RAM on a Windows 7 installation. In other words… slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!! The 2Gb memory is faulty and has to get back to the shop.

Good thing is that for the past week I’ve been the only one in my wing, which means dark, quiet and peaceful. Yay.

In other news my writing is going well. I’ve got 5 or 6 stories that I’ve just had the brilliant idea to put them together as one story, with a couple of changes. The only thing is a central plot. I don’t have one… 😦

Disabled. Not Disabled.

Human Embryonic Stem cell colony on mouse embr...

Image via Wikipedia

I am disabled. Well, not really. I think of myself as temporarily disabled. I’ll bounce back eventually. Or crawl back. Whatever.

I started being a little bit more interested in strokes, ‘cos you know, I’ve got one… and it just amazes me how incredibly little there is on information out there. I mean 5 million in the U.S. have it and there is no information, cures and treatment for it. I’ve only found one doctor in the States who has figured out heart medication might be good for it and another in India who uses ‘stem cell‘ injections but doesn’t publish research.

There isn’t even a site where you can find tips for stroke victims. No cookbooks or anything to specifically deal with the condition. Good thing that even though I went almost a month before being diagnosed I still am in okay condition. Still, I think I have something that would revolutionize recovery but construction of it would require both hands. Oh well… 😦

Sexual Addiction and Dyslexia…

…I gotz them! I haven’t been diagnosed but I’m sure. It’s just that I can’t work with a women without getting a mental hardon. You might think that is sexist and I agree with you, or would if I were paying attention. 😦

Gould, but more…

Even though I utterly love Glenn Gould (or at least his work) I seem to think that his playing like the Goldberg Variations – Variatio 3 a 1 Clav. Canone all’Unisono, is musically incomplete. When Bach wrote this for the Harpsichord it was just fine but the piano is perfect for doing more with it.

Namely the notes that fall on the first and fourth beats of the bar in the right hand should be accented. Actually the whole work is full of stuff like that.

In other news, I’m kinda trying to decide on an electric cello. An electric violin is what I should go for but my hand would appreciate a cello first.
